While a logo is not absolutely necessary, it is definitely a hugh marketing aid. A company logo becomes the symbol that visually identifies your company. Even a small company can create a brand awareness with an effective logo. Since every company of any significance has a logo, not having one can label you as unprofessional, cheap, or insignificant.

A good logo is defined by its first impression and its staying power.
A good Logo should be Memorable. Usually this means simple and straight forward. Don't try to cram too much into the logo.
It should be Legible. Not only must the name be easy to read and remember, but it must also hold up well under multiple circumstances such as when reduced, photocopied, faxed and embroidered.
It should be Professional. A simple and professional looking logo inspires confidence in your customers.
It should be Timeless. Many companies make the mistake of revamping their logos every few years. The most enduing logos like IBM and AT&T are extremely simple so that they can be adapted to new situations easily. |
